Educational Opportunities

The CEP’s Workshop Series provides opportunities for our partners to network, learn, exchange ideas and gain an insight on business trends in the county. The Workshop Series consists of various learning programs and briefings including CEP 101: Partner Orientation, TuesdayTalks and Friday Talks—Business Advancement Series, and exCEPtional Mornings. Additionally, the CEP will host a number of special training and educational opportunities throughout the year.

CEP 101: Partner Orientation presented by

CEP 101: Partner Orientation provides a great snapshot of the CEP and partner benefits.  You will learn how to maximize your partnership through event participation, marketing your business and using your online Partner Portal. This event is designed for our new partners and those who would like to take a more active role. There will be plenty of networking as well, so come prepared with business cards and your “elevator speech” describing your business and the benefits of your products or services. CEP 101: Partner Orientation is held the fourth Wednesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Contact Danielle for more information or to reserve a seat.

TuesdayTalks and FridayTalks presented by

TuesdayTalks and FridayTalks are the CEP’s informative and interactive workshop series for its partners, by its partners or members of the CEP team. Subject matter experts will present talks on topics such as HR and business law, Finance and Accounting 101, Marketing, Leadership and Technology. The format includes a 30-minute networking session and a 45-minute presentation followed by Q & A. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 7:30 a.m. to network.

TuesdayTalks:  first and third Tuesdays of each month, 8:30 a.m. in the CEP boardroom
FridayTalks: the last Friday of the month, 8 a.m. at Rasmussen College.

For more information on upcoming sessions, please check the events calendar of topics and locations.

On-Demand Workshops

Two to three times a year, the CEP will sponsor on-demand workshops on various topics of interest to our partners. These workshops or sessions are generally longer in nature (two hours up to a full day) and are more in-depth in coverage. Recent examples include privacy and security; Live2Lead: John Maxwell simulcast; and an employment law update.

President's Lunch presented by

Each month, the CEP President hosts a lunch for approximately 12 partners to learn more about their CEP and to gather thoughts and ideas on how we can better serve our partners. Be on the lookout for your invitation!

exCEPtional Mornings Business Briefing Breakfasts

The exCEPtional Mornings Business Briefing Breakfasts provide CEP partners an opportunity to learn from keynote speakers about topics of significance to the regional or national business scene while providing an opportunity to network and grow their business contacts. Held the third Wednesday of each month, reservations are required for this breakfast.

Power Talks presented by

Power Talks are an opportunity for entrepreneurs and business owners to learn about topics that will leave an impact on them and their businesses. The talks are free to attend, and are held on scheduled Fridays at noon in the 2nd Floor Training Room of the Power Plant Business Incubator, located at 405 SE Osceola Avenue. RSVP using your online Partner Portal.

Each talk is a brown bag lunch and attendees are encouraged to bring their own food and drink.
